Program Description

This qualification may be applicable to leaders and managers in organizations that utilize learning to build organizational capability. Relevant job roles may also include RTO Manager and RTO Director.

This qualification is expected to be completed in 52 weeks, which includes 40 weeks of face-to-face training and assessment spread over four terms of 10 weeks each, along with a total of 12 weeks of term breaks.

Entry Requirements

There are no specific entry requirements as per the qualification details or training package. International students entering this course at Australian School of Business and Trade must meet the following entry requirements;

Academic Requirement

Students must have completed the equivalent of an Australian Diploma or higher, or have completed Year 12 (or an equivalent) with a minimum of two years of relevant full-time workplace experience in an operational or leadership role within an enterprise.

English Requirement

To enter this qualification, applicants must also meet English language requirements: an IELTS (Academic) overall score of 6.0, a TOEFL IBT score of 60, a PTE Academic score of 50, or an equivalent.

English language competence can also be demonstrated through documented evidence of any of the following:

  •  A minimum of five (5) years of study in English in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK, the US, South America, or Ireland.
  • Completion of at least 50% of a qualification at AQF level 4 or higher in English in Australia.
  • Completion of Year 12 of secondary school in English in Australia.
  • Completion of a recognized ELICOS program with an achievement of upper intermediate English proficiency or equivalent.

Applicants who do not have the documented evidence to demonstrate the required English language competence may undertake the Language Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test online to achieve a result of ACSF level 3 to meet the English language entry requirement of the Australian School of Business and Trade.

Age Requirement

Students must be a minimum age of 18 years or above at the time of course commencement.

Language Literacy & Numeracy Requirement

All students will be required to complete an LLN assessment prior to the commencement of the course. This diagnostic process is designed to identify whether prospective students require LLN support during their studies.

Note: Students who have completed the LLN test during the enrollment process to meet the Australian School of Business and Trade’s English language entry requirements will not be required to take the LLN test again.

Other Requirements

The Australian School of Business and Trade provides learners with a free Office 365 account, granting access to online Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneDrive, and other tools to facilitate training and communication. The school will also provide access to computers and laptops for students to use on campus. However, all learners are expected to have their own laptop or computer with a Windows or macOS operating system to work on assessments, tasks, and self-study at their own cost.

Note: Some assessment tasks require the use of a computer and internet access, so it is essential for students to possess basic computer skills.
